Komen N.E. Ohio Grants Over $1 Million
CLEVELAND, OHIO (April 11, 2008) —The Susan G. Komen for the Cure N.E. Ohio Affiliate is making a significant contribution to 21 local organizations today, granting more than $1 million for various projects that support the vital battle against breast cancer. Additionally, this year also marks the most money ever granted by the organization.
Grants will enable thousands of women across Northeast Ohio to receive improved treatment, while also enhancing breast cancer education programs. Local agencies from several counties were chosen for their innovative breast cancer outreach programs, with a specific focus on those that assist underinsured, uninsured or women living at the poverty line.
