Sponsorship

Local sponsorship is great way to involve local businesses in you Volley for the Cure™ match!

• When thinking of prospective sponsors, start with the local businesses that are involved with your school and community.
• Have the players help! Have a call day, where each player calls a couple of local businesses for sponsorship. Have an easy script for the players to use. Have the players contribute personal letters to submit to businesses, asking for sponsorship and explaining why the Soccer for the Cure™ match is important to them.
• In exchange for sponsorship, offer local businesses a spot for their logo on your Soccer for the Cure™ t-shirts, match programs or signs in the gym.

Merchandise Sales

A great way to help you fundraise is through Soccer for the Cure t-shirts sales.  Here are some ideas to help you out with these sales:

• Ask your school Athletic Boosters to front money for you to purchase Soccer for the Cure t-shirts
• Purchase the t-shirts weeks or months in advance of your event so you have plenty of time to make sales.
• Sell the shirts at different school events such as school lunch and other school events.  (**Football and volleyball games are great events to set up a table to promote the event and sell.)
• Ask all the other sports teams and coaches to purchase fans tees.  Ask them to wear the tees in their sport warm up sessions the week leading up to the event.  Also ask them to wear their shirts to your event.
• Ask all your friends and family to purchase a tee and wear it to the event.
• Ask the school band to purchase fans tees.  Invite them to wear the tees to the event.  Also ask them to play at the event.
• Ask the student government to get involved.  Ask them to purchase tees and to help promote the event.
• Ask the school faculty to purchase tees and to wear them to the event.
• Offer an incentive to get fans to purchase tees and to get them to attend the event is to give FREE admission to those who wear the tee shirt to the event.

FUNraising Ideas

• Schedule your Soccer for the Cure™ match against a rival school to get the most fans involved
• Plan a Passionately Pink week at your school during the week leading up to the game. This will get fans excited and allow you more opportunities to provide education on Breast Health to your peers as well as raise fund for the cure!
• Have a raffle for front row seats at the game.
• Find a company or restaurant that is willing to donate snacks for the concession stand and then sell them for a donation at the game.
• Donation jars
• Raffles
• Hold a pink themed bake sale at the event or during lunch periods at your school leading up to the big game.
• Silent Auctions
