What is the date of the Race?
Saturday, September 10, 2011

Where is the Race located?
Wolstein Center, Downtown Cleveland, Cleveland State University Campus

How long is the Race for the Cure?
Race for the Cure offers a 5K (3.1 miles) competitive run (timed), a 5K walk, and a 1 mile family fun walk.

What time do I need to be there for the Race?
The Sponsor expo opens at 7 a.m. Arrive early for the closest parking and to register the morning of the Race.

When does the Race begin?
6 am - 8:30 am - Registration
7 am - Sponsor Tents Open
8 am - Survivor Ceremony
           (participants line up near Gate C starting at 7:30 am)
9 am - Fitness Warm-Up
9:15 am - 5k Run
9:30 am - 5k Walk
9:45 am - 1-Mile Walk
10:30 am - Awards Ceremony
10:30 am - Dominion® Kids' Dash
Noon - Wrap Up

What is the registration fee?
Individual: $25.00 (includes Race t-shirt and bib)

Team member: $25.00 (includes Race t-shirt and bib)

Sleep In for the Cure: $30.00 (includes Race t-shirt, bib, and treat)

Men for the Cure: $30.00 (includes Men for the Cure t-shirt and bib)

VIP: $75.00 (includes Race t-shirt, bib, 2011 commemorative pin, swag bag and pass to Giant Eagle VIP area on Race Day)

Kids’ Dash: $10.00 (includes Kids’ Dash t-shirt—to be picked up at Kids’ Korner on Race Day)

VIP Kids’ Dash: $25.00 (includes Kids’ Dash t-shirt, and (2) tickets to either Ringling Bros.   and Barnum & Bailey Circus or Disney on Ice—to be picked up at Kids’ Korner on Race Day)

Are there late registration fees?

At the In-Person Sites (9/6-9/9), individual and team member fees increase.
Individual: $30.00
Team member: $30.00

On Race Day, all registration fees increase.

Kids’ Dash: $15.00

What are the registration deadlines?

Mail in: Postmarked by August 15, 2011 (teams and individuals) if you want t-shirt mailed.

Online: Midnight on August 22, if you want your t-shirt mailed. The deadline is midnight on September 5 if you plan to pick up your t-shirt.

Where can I register?
Online, at our In-Person Registration Sites, or on Race day. After September 5, register in person at one of the sites below. Anyone registering online between August 22 and September 5 can pick up t-shirt and packet at any of the following:

Tuesday, September 6: Legacy Village, 11am-7pm, 25001 Cedar Rd, Beachwood. Near the  escalator by Starbucks.
Wednesday, September 7: Westfield-SouthPark Shopping Center, 11am-7pm, 500  SouthPark Center, Strongsville. On lower level near Cinemark Court.
Thursday, September 8: Dick’s Sporting Goods, 11am-7pm, 200 Great Northern Mall, North  Olmsted.
Friday, September 9: Tower City Center, 9am-5pm, 230 W. Huron Rd, Downtown Cleveland.  At the Grand Staircase.

Can I bring my dog to the Race?
For safety reasons (both the participants’ and your dog’s) we ask that you not bring your dog to the Race.

Can I bring a stroller?
Strollers are permitted in the 1 Mile Family Fun Walk only.

Do children have to register for the Race?
For safety and liability reasons, all people participating in the Race must be registered. Children can register for the Kids Dash® for $10.

PLEDGES / REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Where do I mail my pledges?

Cash pledges can only be turned in at in-person registration at one of the In-Person registration sites prior to Race day or to the pledge tent on Race day.

I don't want to register online. How can I get a paper registration form?
Paper registration forms are available to download from our website, komenneohio.org, under Komen Race for the Cure - Register

Can I register more than one person at an in-person registration site?
Yes, bring payment and signed registration form for as many as you would like to our in-person registration sites.

What should I do with my pledges?
They can be mailed to the Komen office (address below), dropped off at our in-person registration sites or dropped off on Race day.

When are the pledge prizes given out?
Prizes will be mailed to you beginning November 1st.

I signed up to have my shirt mailed to me - When will I receive it?
The shirts will begin to be mailed in mid-August.


VOLUNTEER INFORMATION

How do I sign up to volunteer?
On our website click on Race for the Cure and then Volunteer. From this point you will select from various pre-Race and Race day volunteer positions and complete the required on-line volunteer application. If you do not have access to a computer, please give us your name and address and we will mail a volunteer application to you. If you have any questions you can contact Lauren Barbour at lbarbour@komenneohio.org.
