2015 Fabulous Four Contest
For the second year, Bowl for the Cure is putting on an essay contest that will give four lucky women a trip of a lifetime. Individuals can enter by sharing their breast cancer story or by sharing how they’re involved in the fight against breast cancer.

These four winners will travel to Dallas for a tour of Susan G. Komen headquarters, a bowling lesson from Team USA coaching staff and a tour of the International Bowling Campus. They will also receive a trip to Reno, Nev. to participate in the 2015 USBC Women’s Championships and more. The contest will take place from Jan. 8 - Feb. 12, 2015. Komen Northeast Ohio Thanks General Mills and its Friends in the Fight Program

The Friends in the Fight program is turning the lids of participating Yoplait® yogurt products pink! By going online and entering lid codes by March 31, 2015, consumers will be able to direct 10 cents of the total donation to his or her choice of the three charities.

This year, Friends in the Fight is helping Komen Northeast Ohio assist women and men within our community who are battling breast cancer, by tracking zip codes from lids entered online, which will enable Komen to direct donations in zip code areas to Northeast Ohio. Menopause the Musical

Menopause the Musical is a musical parody staged to music from the '60s, '70s and '80s with an all-female cast that brings light to the various symptoms of menopause. It's the Hilarious Celebration of Women and The Change! Set in a department store, four women with seemingly nothing in common but a black lace bra on sale, come to find they have more to share than ever imagined....

Since 2011, SBH has donated more than $3.6M to Komen and is also a proud supporter of Race for the Cure. Additionally, from April 1, 2014 – March 31, 2015, SBH, Inc. has donated to Komen an amount equal to 5 percent of its sales price of specially marked products, and along with consumer donations, is guaranteeing an aggregate minimum donation of $1 million. Susan G. Komen Northeast Ohio is officially teaming up with Sweat X Detergent to raise funds to support breast cancer programs in our community!

Headquartered in Beachwood, OH, Sweat X Sport Detergent is the industry leading sports laundry detergent specifically formulated to remove the toughest sports stains and nasty odors from active wear and technical fabrics. Sweat X will donate back 15% of its gross sales to Komen Northeast Ohio.

Bowl for the Cure


Bowl for the Cure® is a year-round fundraising and breast cancer initiative conducted by the United States Bowling Congress to support Susan G. Komen®. USBC Associations, Leagues and other groups help drive this program through bowling events with fun formats--all in an effort to support the fight against breast cancer. Event forms and tools, as well as event ideas, are available to help ensure a successful Bowl for the Cure event at

Since Bowl for the Cure's inception in 2000, people from across the country have hit the lanes to raise over $10 million for breast cancer research and awareness.

There are several ways to help this effort:

  • Shop: Support the cure by purchasing Bowl for the Cure apparel and accessories here. Wearing your gear raises awareness and 25% of your purchase goes to Susan G. Komen.
  • Donate: Every donation counts. By making a one-time or recurring donation you're directly supporting the tireless education and research efforts to end breast cancer forever.
  • Participate: This is your chance to Bowl for the Cure! Either look up an event near you or start one up yourself.

Employee Giving through Combined Federal Campaign

Employee giving campaign season is underway and many public sector campaigns, including the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), have kicked off!   
Komen Northeast Ohio's CFC code is CFC 54454.  Federal donors can use this number no matter where they are located in the world. The code is only good in Federal campaigns. Susan G. Komen participates in campaigns throughout the country with local Community Health Charities Affiliates.  Donors can always find our code under the Community Health Charities listing, regardless of the campaign.
