Save Lids to Save Lives

Thanks to General Mills for helping raise breast cancer awareness and for supporting Susan G. Komen. Starting in September, more than 20 General Mills' brands will carry pink Save Lids to Save Lives® lids. For each pink lid received and each code redeemed online from select Yoplait products by June 30, 2013, General Mills will donate 10 cents to Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, up to $2,500,000.*

Donations triggered from the Save Lids to Save Lives program will be donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure and their network of more than 120 local Affiliates to benefit breast cancer outreach programs in local communities. The deadline to redeem pink General Mills lids is June 30, 2013.

Stepping Out Against Breast Cancer

Join the "Caring Individuals" on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 10:00am for their 3rd annual Stepping Out Against Breast Cancer Walk.  All proceeds benefit Komen Northeast Ohio.

Wacoal Fit for the Cure

Wacoal invites women around the country to “step into the ring” (or even better, the dressing room!) and join the fight against breast cancer. Attend a Fit for the Cure event and let a Wacoal fit specialist help you determine your true bra size. For every woman who participates, Wacoal will donate $2 to Susan G. Come to the 7th Annual Breast Cancer Survivor Portrait Party and let Michael Lichterman create a fabulous portrait of you.  Your photo will be featured on the Survivor Banner on display at the Akron and Cleveland Race for the Cure. Portraits will also be available online to share with family and friends.

Portage Lakes Dragon Boat Festival

The Portage Lakes Dragon Boat Festival is all about community, camaraderie and competition. Hundreds of paddlers will team up and race 40 foot dragon boats for fun, fitness and fundraising. Gather your co-workers, family and friends to create a dragon team and absolutely no experience is neccesary. Saturday, July 13, 2013 Portage Lakes State Park - Turkeyfoot Beach The festival is sponsored by the Dragon Dream Team, Ohio's first all breast cancer survivor dragon boat team that brought dragon boating to Ohio in 2007. Proceeds from the event will stay in the community and benefit Dragon Dream Team support activiteis, including "Boatloads of Hope" breast cancer outreach.
