Frankino Foundation Provides Generous Gift
December 12, 2011Komen Northeast Ohio is pleased to announce that a generous gift of $100,000 has recently been received from the Sam J. Frankino Foundation. The contribution was provided to the affiliate as an investment in the local work being done to fight breast cancer.
Board President Denise Grcevich received the exciting news from Lorraine Dodero, executive director of the family foundation named in honor of her late father. The Frankino-Dodero family has been a supporter of Komen Northeast Ohio for many years, providing contributions through their family foundations. The Corinne L. Dodero Trust for the Arts and Sciences contributes annually to Komen Northeast Ohio. Although there is no history of breast cancer in their family, Ms. Dodero expressed that it was her strong desire to support good works locally and her high regard for Komen Northeast Ohio that prompted the latest gift.
Komen Northeast Ohio wishes to express its sincere appreciation to the Sam J. Frankino Foundation and the Dodero Family for their continued generosity and support of our promise to end breast cancer.
