The Komen Northeast Ohio Affiliate grants 75% of its net proceeds to local agencies for programs such as breast health education, outreach, screening and treatment devoted to ending breast cancer forever. The remaining 25% raised goes to the Komen’s Award & Research Grant Program. The Northeast Ohio Affiliate offers grants for innovative projects in the areas of breast health including breast cancer education, outreach, screening, or treatment support projects targeting services not otherwise available to the medically underserved populations of the Northeast Ohio Affiliate. The Service area of the Northeast Ohio Affiliate contains the following 15 counties: Ashtabula, Carroll, Columbiana, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Mahoning, Medina, Portage, Stark, Summit, Trumbull, Tuscarawas, and Wayne.
